JavaScript Examples

My JavaScript book has been sent to the printer! I'm told it should be in bookstores by the end of the month. You can always pre-order it, though:

Meanwhile, you can get your hands on the examples from the book now.

Why should anyone book this book instead of those 5497 other JavaScript books? Not to mention the fact that there are hundreds of JS tutorials, examples etc. on the web.

Thanks for your comment. I kind of assume that readers of this blog are already familiar with my JavaScript book and know why they like it. I like to think that the book is popular because it is the most definitive book, the closest thing JavaScript has to a "bible".

If you want more, visit the book's catalog page at the publisher's site:
http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/jscript5/
Click on the "Full Description" link and you'll see the blurb that will appear on the back cover of the book.

Thats good to hear, i've been working on a lot of Js/Ajax lately !

defineClass looks great...can't wait to get the book.

I've used both the 3rd and 4th editions and agree that they are great references. Although the 4th edition seems to be a getting a little dated it still has all the basic stuff (and more) that someone writing javascript needs.

Looking forward to the 5th edition. I'm hoping it has more on OO javascript and design patterns.
